It brings together information from the National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections (NUCMC), and the National Inventory of Documentary Sources (NIDS). It also updates and supersedes the Directory of Archives and Manuscript Repositories in the United States (DAMRUS), last published in 1988. Notes: System requirements: IBM PC or compatible with 486 or faster processor; 4MB RAM; Windows 3.1 or higher; MS-DOS 6.0 or higher; hard disk with 10MB free space; VGA or SVGA card and color monitor; Microsoft-compatible mouse; CD-ROM drive and controller card with Microsoft CD-ROM extensions 2.1 or higher.
