annex requests
The Annex is a book storage facility near the apple orchards across from the Vet School. For Kroch Library, patrons should request that the Annex deliver books to Olin Library since the material will be brought to Olin Circulation, where the patron can pick up the material after getting an email. To request items from the library annex see:

The Annex will scan microfilm for patrons and send it via MyDocDelivery (see the Library Gateway under "Quick Links"). Visitors without Cornell I.D.s can request materials from the annex from http://www.library.cornell.edu/libannex/.
Asian audiocassettes
These are located in the Olin Media Center. To find them on the online catalog, use Sound Cassettes (choose "as a phrase") in a Guided Keyword search. Other subject words or keywords can be added.
A/V players
A/V equipment (DVD, VCR, audiocassettes) are located in the Olin Media Center.
Bear Access
available on 3 computer terminals in the Asia Reading Room (in the alcove next to the Asia Desk).
book delivery for faculty
Faculty can request that books be delivered to their office by clicking on the request button on the online catalog and choosing "Faculty Office Delivery."
CDs
Located in drawers to the right of the Asia Desk. Most can be checked out unless they say "Ref" (reference) Check-out period is 4 weeks for undergraduates, 6 weeks for graduate students, and 6 months for faculty and staff. While the Asia Reading Room has data CD-ROMs, the music CDs are all located in the Olin Media Center.
change machine
Located downstairs in Olin Library in the area near the copiers and campus phone. It will give quarters. Patrons can also go to the bank teller stations located in the campus store or at Willard Straight Hall.
Cho Room (The Il Hwan Cho and Soonja Cho Seminar Room for Asian Thought, Culture, and Religion)
A graduate student reading room. The Room houses selected core reference works for research on East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Located on level B1 of Kroch Library (Rm B59), the Cho Room has comfortable seating and Asian art on loan from the Johnson Art Museum. The room offers wireless Internet access, a white-board, and a seating capacity of 10-21. Faculty can reserve the Cho Room for an Asian Seminar (500-700 level) or particular sessions when proximity to the collections is important by emailing ll31@cornell.edu.

color printers
Availabe in Olin Library (not Kroch). See the printer choices in the drop-down menu in File/print or print command ("Olin Library Netprint 4 color"). Also available at Uris Library and other libraries on campus. Cost is 25 cents per page.

language help:
Patrons needing translation, romanization, computer searching or other help with Asian languages can be referred to the appropriate Asia Collections staff offices. See the Asia Collections staff list, which notes language specialties. Help can also be found by contacting LTS (Library Technical Services) who have staff with Asian language skills.
laptop computers:
Cornell students can borrow laptops from the Olin Circulation desk.
library cards:
Library cards can be purchased in person in Room 116 Olin for $25/month or $250/year. 20 books can be checked out for 4 weeks. This does not include remote access to online databases. For more information about library cards and privileges for visitors, contact Access Services 255-5069.
lockers
Day-use lockers are available in Kroch by requesting a key at the Olin Circulation Desk. Items left in lockers at the end of the day will be sent to Barnes Hall.
Undergraduates can rent a locker from June 1st-August 19th in Uris Library for $10. Lockers in Olin can be leased by the year. Locker assignment is first-come, first serve. For more information, or to request a locker, go to room 116 in Olin Library.
lost and found
Items lost and found in Kroch are kept temporarily at the Olin Circulation Desk. At the end of each week, items are sent to Campus Lost and Found in Barnes Hall.

printing/photocopying
Net-Print is a laser printing service offered by Cornell Information Technologies. The Kroch Library Asia Reading Room has one Net-Printer

There is also one computer connected to a Vendacard printer located in the alcove near the Asia Desk.
Public photocopiers are available on both stack levels of Kroch Asia Library and in the Asia Reading Room. Copies cost 15 cents with coins, 10 cents with a Vendacard. Vendacards can be purchased and money added to them in the copy room on level 1 of the Asia stacks. For color copies, patrons need to go to the Olin Copy Center. Kroch Asia has a scanner located in the Asia Reading Room near the photocopy machine.
vendacards
There is one vendacard dispenser/encoder in Kroch. It is located with the photocopy machines off the first level stacks area. The cost of a card is $.55 and can be used for photocopy machines and one printer in Kroch.
visitor information
The Asia Collections allow all visitors with research needs to use the libraries' collections, providing use does not conflict with its primary responsibility to members of the Cornell community.
